Well we’d thought about it now and then for way too long
So we breathed that white powder until we felt like King Kong
Pulled down my mask and we burst right in
“Hands above your heads if you all want to live!”
Wasn’t two minutes later we was out with the cash
My truck had lots of horses, and I let ‘em run fast!
Around the corner, slowed, and turned some music on
The cops they flew past us, and like that they was gone
Cracked open some beers and raised ourselves a toast
“Good job boys!” Then we each became a ghost
Rolled into town about forty miles down
Where I was met with shifty eyes and nothin’ but frowns
Took a break to fill up and was being watched
Don’t ask me how I knew, was just a feelin’ I got
When I turned to get back in is when I seen the lights
Silent sirens comin’ my way, I prepared for a fight
Pulled my laces hard, now was my turn to run
Grabbed my share of cash, but I didn’t grab my gun
Thought I could hide out with a friend of mine
But quickly I thought better when I saw the K-9
Left up to me, well I could outrun the hogs
But at least I wasn’t dumb enough to take on the dogs
No way I’d make it, bolted back to the truck
They had me in their sites, and I was runnin’ on luck
Heard ‘em yell, “Freeze!” so I slammed that pedal good
Yeahhhhhhh I still had my horses, again they ran like they should
Screechin’ rubber, swervin’ came the shots they fired
“Pop pop” and just like that the cops had taken my tires
So that second chase was over just before it began
I was comin’ down hard now and was out of a plan
Once I was in handcuffs they were smilin’ at me
The good had caught the bad, I guess the way it should be
Was no time later, found myself in the car
I said, “Well how’d you catch me? I had made it so far ...”
“Yeah you surely woulda had it,” I could hear him laugh
“But you’re too dumb to realize you’re still wearing your mask!”
One minute I was flyin’ high standin’ so tall
But like Kong I crashed hard, ended with a fall
