It's Time You Grab Your Horses And Run

by Duncan Jones

I found an old one

Wandering through the night

He said, “Save your strength

With me there is no fight.”

Then he pointed back the way

From which I’d come

And he said, “It’s time ...

Now grab your horses and run ...

Run back to where you live

And remember ...

Just run, run back to where you live

And remember ...

Don’t you ever let the takers

Decide what you give!”

Then I found an old one

Gazing at the stars

She said, “You’ve got the look

If you’d like you’ll travel far.”

Then she pointed out away

From where I’d come

And she said, “It’s time ...

Now grab your horses and run ...

Run the world awaits my son

And remember ...

Just run, run the world awaits my son

And remember ...

Don’t you ever let your style

Decide your fun!”

Then I found an old one

From another time

She said, “You remind me of

The sweetest girl of mine.”

Then she pointed out away

From where I’d come

And she said, “It’s time ...

Now grab your horses and run ...

Run there’s so much good in you

And remember ...

Just run, run there’s so much good in you

And remember ...

Don’t you ever let your fear

Decide what you do!”

Then I found an old one

Sleeping by a tree

She said, “When I look at you

I see a bit of me.”

Then she pointed out away

From where I’d come

And she said, “It’s time ...

Now grab your horses and run ...

Run you’re brave and this I know

And remember ...

Just run, run you’re strong and this I know

And remember ...

Don’t you ever let a thief

Decide what you show!”

Then I found an old one

Dancing in the rain

He said, “Crazy maybe

But I’ve never felt so sane.”

Then he pointed out away

From where I’d come

And he said, “It’s time ...

Now grab your horses and run ...

Run and you make them throw a strike

And remember ...

Just run, run and you make them throw a strike

And remember ...

Don’t you ever let the trend

Decide what you like!”

Then I found an old one

Stopped to tie her shoe

She said, “Funny I still tie

How I used to.”

Then she pointed out away

From where I’d come

And she said, “It’s time ...

Now grab your horses and run ...

Run sometimes you’ll have to shove

And remember ...

Just run, run sometimes you’ll have to shove

And remember ...

Don’t you ever let the hate

Decide who you love!”
